President Of Kazakhstan Ratified An Agreement On Expansion Of Allied Relations With Kyrgyzstan

President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev signed the Law “On the ratification of the agreement on the deepening and expansion of allied relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic”.

As previously noted in the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, the contract is aimed at further strengthening bilateral ties and provides for improving the mechanism of meetings at high and high levels, strengthening coordination in the field of politics and security, holding a regular exchange of views and coordination of positions on key issues of regional and international nature.

The document enshrines the intentions of the parties to expand cooperation in a number of priority areas, including political, military, trade and economic, investment, agricultural, transit and transport, water-energy, technical, educational and cultural and humanitarian fields.

Particular attention in it is paid to security issues. The parties express their readiness for in -depth interaction in the fight against modern threats, such as terrorism, extremism, transnational crime, cybercrime and drug trafficking. In addition, the document provides for support for the development of inter -parliamentary relations, including within the framework of the Inter -Parliamentary Cooperation Council between the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.
