President of Kyrgyzstan: Bishkek and Baku deepen strategic partnership

Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan signed a joint declaration of establishing in -depth relations of strategic partnership.

This was announced by the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov in a statement for the press following negotiations with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev in Baku.

The head of state noted that the signing of this document officially enshrines the deeper nature of bilateral strategic relations established in practice

Zhaparov said that in the framework of the second meeting of the interstate council, the leaders of the two countries held subject negotiations on almost all topical issues of bilateral cooperation, heard reports of the heads of individual ministries of the two countries.

According to him, according to the results of the meeting, decisions were made aimed at further expansion of bilateral interaction.

We discussed the prospects for the work of the Azerbaijano-Kyrgyz Development Fund, touched on the construction of the Azerbaijani side of the five-star hotel on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, the construction of the Kyrgyz side of the high school in the Agdam district, ”said Zhaparov.

He noted that the construction of the school is the contribution of Kyrgyzstan to the restoration of the world in regions affected by the conflict.

According to the Kygryzsky leader, an agreement was also reached on the next meeting of the joint Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani intergovernmental commission for economic and humanitarian cooperation.

“The work of the commission is an effective platform for discussing and promoting existing issues in order to increase the turnover between our countries,” he stressed.

Zhaparov also said that during the negotiations the prospects for the interaction of the two countries were discussed in the development of international transport corridors passing through Central Asia and the South Caucasus.

“Today we have signed a number of bilateral documents aimed at further close work in various fields.

Among the signed documents, I would like to distinguish a five -year -old comprehensive program for the development of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Azerbaijan Republic, which will be used as a basic roadmap of bilateral interaction for the medium term, ”the head of state said.
