President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On the ratification of the Agreement on the establishment of the Civil Protection Mechanism of the Organization of Turkic States, signed on November 6, 2024 in the city of Bishkek.”
The press service of the head of the Kyrgyz state reported this on Friday, October 31. The document was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic on September 24, 2025.
The law was adopted in order to carry out domestic procedures for the entry into force of the Agreement on the establishment of the Civil Protection Mechanism of the Organization of Turkic States (hereinafter – the OTC), signed on November 6, 2024 in the city of Bishkek (hereinafter – the Agreement).
The Agreement provides for the goals, scope and structure of the Civil Protection Mechanism of the OTC, the organization of interaction in the field of prevention and response to emergency situations, ensuring preparedness and response to possible emergency situations, as well as providing mutual assistance in eliminating the consequences of natural and man-made emergencies.
