President Of Kyrgyzstan: Terrorism Is Threat Requiring Collective Actions

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov on Thursday, June 19, met with secretaries of security councils of the Member States of the Organization of Collective Security and Secretary of Security Councils of the Central Asia -Russia format. This was reported by the press service of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The meeting took place in the city in Cholpon-Ata.

The head of state emphasized that the modern international agenda is characterized by complex and ambiguous trends. In this context, it is important to continue monitoring the situation in Afghanistan.

Speaking about coordination of efforts, Sadyr Zheparov noted that terrorism is a threat requiring collective actions and non -standard approaches in the fight against it. As well as with the spread of extremist ideologies, drug trafficking and transnational organized crime.

“It is important to carefully and soberly evaluate the emerging environment and take joint reservative measures aimed at strengthening stability in the region. It is obvious that an effective, comprehensive and systemic solution of security issues will positively affect the quality of life of the population of our countries,” the president said.

Secretaries of Security Councils, in turn, emphasized the importance of joint opposition to modern threats, including terrorism, extremism and cybercrime.

At the end, President Sadyr Zheparov thanked the Secretary of Security Councils for the constructive joint work for the benefit of ensuring collective security.
