Moldova President Maya Sandu held a telephone conversation with Ukrainian colleague Vladimir Zelensky.
The head of the Moldavian state reported this on its page on the social network x.
“On the day of Europe, a day dedicated to unity and the world throughout Europe – the world, for the preservation of which Ukraine is bravely struggling – I talked with the President of Zelensky,” Sandu said.
According to the president, issues of European integration, as well as regional cooperation and security, were discussed.
During the conversation, the President of Moldova confirmed its participation in the world summit in Ukraine, which will be held in the Swiss city of Lucerne on June 15-16, 2024.
The President of Ukraine also wrote on the social network X that he congratulated Sandu on the Day of Europe.
“We focused on our integration in the EU. Europe – our common house, and its security depends on the fair world in Ukraine,” said the Ukrainian leader.
According to the head of state, the first peaceful summit in June can pave the way to such a world.
“I am grateful to President Sandu for confirming my presence,” added Vladimir Zelensky.
