Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Kyrgyzstan on a state visit, as well as to participate in a meeting of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). Putin’s visit to Kyrgyzstan will last three days – from November 25 to 27.
According to the Kremlin press service, the Russian President’s plane landed at Bishkek Manas Airport. Vladimir Putin was met by the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov at the plane’s landing.
“The national flags of the two countries were raised on the airfield, a guard of honor was formed, and ceremonial fanfare sounded. During the welcoming ceremony, national dances were performed and the features of traditional Kyrgyz hunting with a golden eagle and hounds were demonstrated. At Manas airport, folklore and ethnography the ensemble presented a short musical program,” follows from the publication.
It is noted that Russian-Kyrgyz negotiations will take place during the state visit. The leaders of Russia and Kyrgyzstan will discuss issues of further development of bilateral relations of strategic partnership and alliance in various fields. A Joint Statement by the Heads of State, as well as a number of intergovernmental and commercial documents, have been prepared for signing.
At a meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council, the results of interaction within the organization this year will be summed up and the main directions for improving the collective security system will be outlined. Vladimir Putin will inform his colleagues about the priorities of the Russian Federation’s chairmanship of the CSTO in 2026.
