President Of Russian Federation Declared CIS “an Authoritative Integration Association”

Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke at a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS Member States in a limited format, the Kremlin press service reports. The head of state said that for more than 30 years, the CIS “has established itself as an authoritative regional and integration association.”

“I think that the most important thing is that we managed to preserve a platform not just for communication, but to create a common market and a common humanitarian space – to a certain extent, preserve it,” said Vladimir Putin.

Following the meeting, a package of documents was signed, including the decision “On the establishment of the Commonwealth of Independent States Plus format”, the decision “On the program of cooperation of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the field of countering terrorism and extremism for 2026-2028 years”, the decision “On the program of cooperation of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States in strengthening border security on external borders for 2026-2030”, as well as the decision “On the concept of military cooperation of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States until 2030” and the decision “On the declaration of cooperation in the field of ensuring regional energy security”.
