President of Uzbekistan forbade state-owned cars and furniture

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyev forbade all ministries and departments to buy cars, furniture, equipment, and repair offices until the end of 2022. This was reported by his spokesman for Sherzod Asadov.

Javkat Mirzieev also banned the heads of regions from April 1 to issue loans from the budget, unless in the framework of the state programs. It is expected that these bans will help reduce costs of 10 trillion sums.

“This does not mean that funds will be seized. All saved funds will be directed to the program for the development of regions and industries,” Mirziyev said.

Now the Prosecutor General’s Office of Uzbekistan will follow the expenses of officials and report to the country’s president weekly weekly.
