President Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on September 26 received Toraga (Chairman) Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurlanbek Shakiev, who is in the country on a visit, the press service of the Uzbek leader.
The relevant issues of further strengthening of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of friendship, good neighborliness and a comprehensive strategic partnership were addressed.
During the conversation, the current high level and fruitful nature of bilateral cooperation were also noted. In particular, active contacts and exchanges are carried out at different levels, the volumes of trade and cargo transportation are growing, cooperation projects are being implemented, including involving investments of a joint fund.
The special role of the development of close inter-parliamentary relations in expanding multifaceted relations, the implementation of the highest level and promoting promising projects, establishing practical cooperation at the regions and business levels, as well as cultural and humanitarian events in two countries is emphasized.
The importance of strengthening interaction and coordination within the framework of specialized international organizations is also noted.
