US President Donald Trump was presented with the “FIFA Peace Prize” before the draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup for his contribution to world peace.

US President Trump was awarded the first ever FIFA Peace Prize before the draw for the World Cup, which took place at the Kennedy Center in Washington.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino, presenting Trump with the award, said that during his year In office, the US President played a key role in ending a number of armed conflicts in different parts of the world.

Infantino noted that the “FIFA Peace Prize”, awarded for the first time by FIFA, was awarded to Trump for his contributions to world peace.

US President Trump, in his speech after receiving the Peace Prize, cited various examples, from the war between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda to the conflicts between India and Pakistan, and said: “We have saved millions of lives. I am deeply honored by this award.”

Trump thanked his family for their support in the process, as well as the leaders of Canada and Mexico for their partnership in the World Cup, saying: “The world is now a safer place.”

Last month, FIFA announced that it would award the first “FIFA Peace Award” to an individual who has contributed to world peace.
