President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov invited the Malaysian business community to invest in areas such as hydropower, agriculture, tourism, education, healthcare, digitalization, mining and processing of minerals.
According to the press service of the press center of the President of Kyrgyzstan, as part of an official visit to Malaysia Zhaparov met with more than 50 representatives of business circles in Kuala Lumpur.
“The geographical and strategic position of our country is extremely profitable. We are at the intersection of trade and transport routes. Kyrgyzstan is rich in natural resources, from hydropower to rare earth metals. We also have free economic zones with attractive tax and customs benefits for investors. All these advantages make Kyrgyzstan a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs”, – said the president.
noting the economic achievements of the country of Zhaparov invited Malaysian companies to actively invest in Kyrgyzstan.
The President proposed business circles to consider the hydropower, agro -industrial complex, tourism, education, healthcare, digitalization, as well as mining and processing minerals as priority areas of cooperation.
pointing to the export -oriented halal industry and tourist sector of Kyrgyzstan, the president added: “Kyrgyzstan is a country of new opportunities open to the whole world. I am sure that our cooperation with Malaysia will be an example of a successful partnership based on mutual respect, strength and desire for sustainable development”.
After a meeting with representatives of business circles, the head of state signed an investment memorandum of understanding of the construction of a halal meat park in Kyrgyzstan.
A memorandum of cooperation and a contract for the sale of affected gold between the Kyrgyz gold corporation and the Malaysian company, a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan and another Malaysian company about cooperation between Bishkek and Kuala-Lumpur.
As part of an official visit to Kuala Lumpur, the President signed a joint statement with the Prime Minister of Malaysia Anvar Ibrahim on strengthening strategic partnership between two countries.
