Presidential chair in Syria is claimed by 51 candidates

The Syria Parliament completed the acceptance of applications for participation in the upcoming presidential elections, SANA reported. 51 people put forward his candidacy, including the operating head of the state of Bashar Assad.

According to the country’s constitution, it has the right for the last time to participate in the elections.

Presidential elections in Syria are scheduled for May 26th. On April 19, the registration of candidates began. Syrian opposition called the upcoming vote by Farc. US and EU refused to recognize the results of the vote.
