Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with the Iranian colleague Masud Ceseshshkian the course of Iranian-American negotiations on a nuclear transaction.
According to the Kremlin’s press service, a telephone conversation of Vladimir Putin with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Cyzeshshkian was held.
“An exchange of views on topical international and regional issues was carried out, including the course of negotiations between Iran and the United States, through the mediation of the Oman of the Iranian nuclear program. The readiness of the Russian side is confirmed to promote the promotion of this dialogue in order to reach the fair, based on the principles of international law, – follows from the message.
It is noted that Vladimir Putin once again expressed sincere condolences in connection with the death of people as a result of an explosion in the port of Shahid-Radzhai on April 26, 2025.
Masud Citekian, in turn, thanked the Russian side for the operational provision of assistance in eliminating the consequences of this disaster.
“The issues of further development of Russian-Iranian cooperation on the basis of an integral strategic partnership between the two countries signed during the official visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Russia on January 17 were paid to the expansion of mutually beneficial trade and investment relations, including through the implementation of large joint projects in the field of transport and energy,”- The message says.
The leaders of the two countries agreed to intensify joint work on the comprehensive strengthening of Russian-Iranian practical cooperation and coordination in the foreign policy.
Iranian President also warmly congratulated Vladimir Putin and all Russian citizens on the 80th anniversary of Victory.
