Presidents Of Ukraine And Poland Discussed Development Of Relations

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda, who came to Ukraine before completing his presidential term.

According to the Office of the President of Ukraine, during the meeting of the heads of state, they spoke about the further development of relations between countries, security situations in the region and the world, the state in diplomacy, relations and possible decisions at the EU level and in coordination with NATO partners following the GAAG summit. Also in these months, important Ukrainian-Polish agreements are being implemented in defense cooperation.

President of Poland noted the interest of Polish companies in the restoration of Ukraine and expanding the presence in it. According to him, the growth of trade between countries and the development of trade is also important.

Duda noted that for him to receive today from the Zelensky Order of Freedom and this award is of great personal importance for him.

“I did not doubt it as the President of the Republic of Poland, that it is very important for President Vladimir Zelensky to stand side by side with Ukraine,” he emphasized.

President of Poland expressed the hope that the connections that have developed in recent years between many Poles and Ukrainians will become a foundation for new relations between two peoples.

“And also thanks to good cooperation, we will be able to solve all the historical issues that are so painful between our peoples,” he said.

Andrzej Duda also thanked the Ukrainian side for understanding and decisions made that made exhumation work on the dead Poles.
