Prime Minister: Georgia Will Not Invite OSCE Observers To Polls

The Georgian government does not intend to invite the BDIPCH/OSCE mission to observe elections to local governments.

This was stated by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobahidze, local media reports.

“We believe that it will be excessive to burden them with these elections. The elections to the local government will be held in a healthy environment. OSCE watched the parliamentary elections, prepared a conclusion, but this conclusion is not interested in anyone. Today the same people ask us to invite them,” Kobahidze said.

Municipal elections in Georgia will take place on October 4, 2025.
