Prime Minister Of Georgia Congratulated Muslims On Holiday Of Kurban

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobahidze visited the Tbilisi Friday mosque and congratulated the Muslims on the holiday of Kurban.

Kobakhidze met with Muslim citizens in the Tbilisi Friday Mosque in the capital of Tbilisi on the occasion of Id al-Adha.

Prime Minister Kobakhidze made a speech at the festive ceremony, attended by Turkish ambassador to Tbilisi Ali Kaan Orbai, diplomats, employees of the Georgian Muslim Department, the head of the State Agency for Religious Affairs Vashakmadze, Muslim citizens and numerous guests.

He congratulated the Muslims on the holiday of Kurban: “Our country is proud of its national and religious variety. We are proud of those relations and friendship that have been established between us.”

According to him, Muslim citizens continue to make a significant contribution to the development of Georgia.

“The Georgian government pays as much attention to the interests of the Muslim community as possible, and this will continue in the future. You make a great contribution to the progress and development of our country, and I want to express great gratitude to you for this,” the prime minister said.

The event was also performed by Muslims of Eastern Georgia Etibar Eminov, Mufti Muslims of Western Georgia Adam Shantadze, Sheikh of all Muslims of Georgia Faik Nabiev and the head of the State Agency for Vashakmadze Religion.
