Prime Minister of Greece believes that before next European council there will be an agreement on € 50 billion for Ukraine

before the next meeting of the European Council, most likely, it will be possible to agree on financial support for Ukraine in the amount of 50 billion euros, despite the obstacles of Hungary.

Greece Prime Minister Kiriacosik about this said during the discussion panel as part of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Ukrinform reports.

“I think that in the next European Rada we will agree on financial support for Ukraine, which will be significant. We are talking about 50 billion euros for four years. I think that we will overcome the obstacles of one country (Hungary – Ed.), which could not reach this agreement at the previous council, and we will continue to support Ukraine, ”said Mitsikitis.

He emphasized that his country has supported Ukraine since the beginning of the war not only of diplomatic, but also in the military sphere.

As for sanctions against the Russian Federation, Mitsikitis noted: “Although its economy was more stable than they thought in Europe, but this does not mean that Russia does not pay a very high price.”

“Sanctions are the only economic instrument that we have. That’s why we need to do more to guarantee the absence of evasion from sanctions, their extension,” he stressed.
