Intercontient Greece – Bulgaria (IGB) is an energy industry that will bring Greece and Bulgaria even closer, radically changing the energy map of southeastern Europe, Greece Prime Minister Kiriacosikotis said on Saturday, speaking at the IGB launch ceremony in Sofia.
“This pipeline significantly strengthens the energy safety and supply of supplies for all interconnected countries in the Balkans, as well as for the European continent as a whole. It has become the culmination of cooperation and coordinated efforts of our governments in recent years. According to the pipeline, as President Ilham Aliyev noted , natural gas from Azerbaijan will enter Bulgaria, ”said Mitsotakis.
Prime Minister noted that IGB in combination with other infrastructure projects implemented in the region will contribute to the development of a reliable gas network.
