The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov called the current floods in the country “the most ambitious” in recent years.
According to the official information resource of the Kazakh prime minister, Bektenov heard the report of the Minister of Emergency Situations of Genghis Arinov in the management center in crisis situations of the Ministry of Emergencies.
According to the Ministry of Emergencies, together with the akimats (regional executive bodies in Kazakhstan), more than 2.3 million cubic meters of melt water were pumped out, more than 162 thousand components and 31,587 tons of inert material were laid. In emergency rescue operations, 6349 people, 2192 units of equipment, 689 units of water flowers, etc. are involved.
“These are the most large -scale floods in recent years. Now the main thing is to save people’s lives and minimize the consequences of the elements. After the subject check will be carried out in order to identify the possible facts of the negligent attitude of individual officials to fulfill their official duties. I have already discussed this issue with Prosecutor General. Today, all forces are thrown into anti -flood work, ”the prime minister said.
