Prime Minister of Pakistan announced desire to strengthen trade ties with Russia

Pakistan intends to increase cooperation with Russia in various fields. This was stated by Pakistan Prime Minister Shakhbaz Sharif at a meeting with Russia Ambassador to Islamabad Albert Khorem.

According to the press service of the Pakistani Prime Minister, Sharif expressed condolences in connection with the death of people as a result of the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall, which occurred on March 22.

During the meeting, the Pakistani Prime Minister drew attention to friendly ties between the two countries, and also declared a desire to develop bilateral cooperation with Russia in various fields, including in the field of energy, trade and investment.

Sharif called on Russia to send a delegation to Pakistan in order to discuss ways to strengthen trade and investment ties. In addition, Pakistani Prime Minister invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit the country.

In turn, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Islamabad Khorev noted that Russia also wants to establish closer ties with Pakistan.
