Prime Minister Of Ukraine And UN Secretary General Discussed Mine Clearance

Today, about 137 thousand km² of territory are mined in Ukraine. This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal at a meeting with UN Secretary General Antoniu Gutherresh during a working visit to Spain.

The Prime Minister posted the meeting in his Telegram.

Shmygal noted that the volume of work on mine remains large.

According to the prime minister, he thanked the head of the World Organization for “personal involvement in the implementation of the Black Sea Grain initiative and support for humanitarian programs for Ukraine and Ukrainians.” “This support is important and noticeable,” Shmygal emphasized.

The prime minister called for “systemic international pressure and, strengthening the sanctions” in relation to the Russian Federation, as well as the provision of “necessary weapons to protect” Ukraine.
