570 thousand people from the USA, Italy, China and Iran took part in the experiment. People who regularly included this product in the diet noted a decrease in mortality from cardiovascular diseases by 26 percent, and from oncological diseases – by 23 percent.

But, since information about the mechanism of protective action of red peppers is not yet, additional research will be required to confirm the results.

Earlier, Korean experts conducted a metaanalysis of research, within which participants over the age of 18 were included in the diet of peppers or its derivatives for a period of four to 12 weeks. As it turned out, the substance contained in the pole pepper reduces the risk of the development of metabolic syndrome – a set of metabolic disorders.
