Project “Digital Skills” will cover 160 thousand students

Education Minister Emin Amrullayev told on his Facebook page about the school project “Digital Skills”.

The Minister noted that at present the Digital Skill project covers 120,000 students in 222 schools in the country. Since 2020-2021 academic year, students of VII, VIII and IX classes are taught Python programming language.

According to the minister, it is planned that in the next school year the project “Digital skills” to cover 160,000 students.

Recall that from the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year, the project has been expanded to 9 cities and covers students 2-9 classes of 222 schools. Thus, the project is covered by Baku, Ganja, Bilyaswar, Sumgait, Mingachevir, Shamaha, Lankaran, Shirvan and Sheki.

Teaching the Informatics Item in a new format allows you to develop algorithmic thinking, logic, project development skills and programming skills, in one word, main skills of the 21st century.
