The prosecutor’s office of the Southern District of New York called Arslannyans to partners, they were asked to provide information about both Arslannyans and Menendes.
The publication notes that this investigation is carried out separately from the investigation against Menendes, which became known some time ago. The representative of the US prosecutor’s office in the Southern District of New York then refused to comment, as well as representatives of the FBI.

The investigation regarding Nadin Arslannyan dates back to at least 2019, when, according to WSJ, federal investigators issued a warrant of a businessman from New Jersey Vael Khan, a partner of Arslannyan, who is allowed to certify the export of the meat to Egypt as a halal.
