A number of persons who participated in the commission of the Khojalin genocide are prosecuted. This was told to reporters by the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev.
Prosecutor General noted that the guilty persons in the framework of criminal cases initiated in connection with the crimes of Armenia are put on the international wanted list. “Sometimes difficulties arise with the extradition of these persons in Azerbaijan, their involvement. Despite this, we attracted a number of people who committed crimes after a 44 -day war,” said the Prosecutor General.
Kamran Aliyev emphasized that it was possible to bring to criminal liability a number of persons participating in the commission of the Hodzhalin genocide. “In the nomination of claims against Armenia in international courts, in particular in the UN International Court, Azerbaijan presents evidence received during the investigation in criminal cases,” said the Prosecutor General.
