Prosecutor General to strengthen international cooperation during a pandemic

“Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the prosecution authorities strengthened international cooperation.” This was stated by the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev at a meeting of the Collegium of the General Prosecutor’s Office following the results of 2021.

he noted that, despite the difficulties associated with the coronavirus pandemic, relations with the relevant foreign authorities and international organizations have strengthened to increase the international prestige of the prosecutor’s office.

Bilateral documents on cooperation are signed with the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and the Investigative Committee of Belarus. The first meeting of the Council of Prosecutors of the State Member States of the Türk State Council of Prosecutors was held in Baku, within which the Council was established.

“As a manifestation of effective cooperation of the organization with foreign partners, hiding abroad 32 people accused of grave and especially serious crimes, detained and extradited to our country,” said Kamran Aliyev.
