With the organizational support of the Prosecutor General’s Office in Baku, a conference was held on the topic “Freedom of media and ensuring the information security of society in the context of the increasing influence of social networks.”
The conference was attended by Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, Chairman of the Press Council, as well as leaders of media structures, representatives of universities and NGOs.
In his speech at the conference, the Prosecutor General K. Aliyev noted that when the media distributes in the media aimed at violating the rights and freedoms of citizens, weakening the defense capabilities of the state, as well as the commission of actions directed against the national security of Azerbaijan, decisive measures should be taken in accordance with the National Security of Azerbaijani the direction of the prosecutor’s office.
The chairman of the press of the press Aflatun Amashov, who was further, proposed to create a commission for joint activities of the Prosecutor General and Media. He added that the media registry will probably be adopted and the issuance of uniform licenses will begin to journalists.
The conference was also performed by the Deputy Prosecutor General of Elmar Jamalov, the head of the Department of Department of the Unprofitant Office of the Prosecutor General Elnur Musaev, the Executive Director of the Media Development Agency Ahmed Ismailov, and the leaders of media structures, representatives of universities and NGOs.
