The suspect was detained in the distribution of intimate videos and photographs of several employees of the Ministry of Emergencies of Azerbaijan, the Prosecutor General’s Office reports.
Earlier, the Prosecutor General’s Office was told by Haqqin.az that the department began an investigation on the fact of the distribution of intimate videos and photographs of several employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in a number of media and social networks.
“The investigation found that the assistant to the head of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Colonel of the Internal Service Zaur Mirzoev installed a hidden camera on a service computer for video and photography. Sleanments of intimate communication with women were carried out from 2013 to the end of 2019. led to the spread of illegal pornographic materials on the Internet in August 2022, ”the statement said.
The reasonable suspicions were established that Zaur Mirzoev with his criminal actions that go beyond his powers caused serious damage to the rights and legitimate interests of these women, as well as the business reputation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
A criminal case has been instituted on this fact under Articles 156.2.1 (violation of private life), 242 (illegal distribution of pornographic materials or objects) and 309.2 (exceeding official powers) of the Criminal Code, the investigation was entrusted with the investigative administration of the General Prosecutor’s Office.
Zaur Mirzoev was detained on August 17, as a suspect in the case. Operational investigative measures are currently ongoing.
