The Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan holds investigative and operational measures at the Republican Psychiatric Hospital of the Ministry of Health, the statement posted on the official website of the department.
“, as a result of operational -search measures conducted by the Main Directorate for Corruption under the Prosecutor General, reasonable suspicions were identified in receiving a bribe by the head of the department of the Republican Psychiatric Hospital Huseyn Seidov from patients,” the report said.
He took money from patients in exchange for issuing extracts from medical documents without treatment.
A criminal case has been instituted on this fact. Seidov was charged under Articles 308.1 (abuse of authority), 311.3.2 (re -receipt of a bribe) and 313 (official fraud) of the Criminal Code of the AR. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
In relation to Seidov, on the basis of a court decision, a preventive measure was chosen in the form of arrest.
