Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan has spread a statement about the ex-head of the executive branch of the Gubadlinsky district Elkhan Nuriev, who was detained yesterday in Poland.
The statement of the department notes that in 1993 Nuriev organized a number of particularly serious crimes, for which the prosecutor’s office of the Gubadlinsky district opened a criminal case against him on a number of articles of the Criminal Code of the AR and put it on the wanted list.
It is reported that on October 2, Nuriev was detained in Poland. The Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan sent a request to the Polish side regarding its extradition.
