In the Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor’s Office, an investigation into the criminal case, initiated by the relevant articles of the Criminal Code on the fact of the incident, which took place on May 15 in the territory of the Border Detachment Service “Gyutepe” of the GPS border troops, when 3 unknown persons during the illegal intersection of the State Border of the Republic of Azerbaijan Out of checkpoints, did not comply with the legal requirements of SHC staff, discovered fire from firearms on them, as a result of which 2 servicemen were killed. This is stated in the joint information of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and GPS received in HAQQIN.AZ.
It is reported that during the investigation, one of the crime participants was attracted as the accused – the Iranian citizen Hasanali Bergov, in his respect, according to the court decision, a preventive measure was elected:
“Today at about 10:00 as a result of an operation conducted by employees of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and GPS, it was found that one of the participants in the crime – a citizen of the Islamic Republic of Iran Agai Allahbekh Bagus oglu hiding in the territory of the Yardymlinsky district, he refused to surrender, and provided Armed resistance, as a result of which was neutralized by our military personnel with the use of weapons.
