Prosecutor’s office requires lifelong to spying Iranian for Russia

Sweden prosecutor’s office requested a charge for two brothers in the espionage case in favor of Russia. For one man, the prosecutors demanded a life imprisonment, for the second accused – 12 years in prison, Reuters reports with reference to the hearing.

The verdict will be announced on January 19. The brothers are suspected of providing Russian intelligence with secret information for ten years. According to Reuters, the elder brother held a high post in the reconnaissance agency, then in the armed forces. The brothers deny their guilt.

According to Aftonbladet, the first accused is 42 -year -old Payman Kia, a former employee of the Swedish state security and military intelligence service. The second accused is Payman’s brother – Paisa Kia.
