Putin allowed oil supplies to friendly countries without price ceiling

Russian President Vladimir Putin excluded from the ban on the supply of oil and oil products on a price ceiling contracts under existing agreements with friendly countries. The Russian leader signed a corresponding decree that is published on the portal of legal information.

According to the document, its action does not apply to the supply of fuel under contracts with countries that are not included in the list approved by the Government of the Russian Federation, “unfriendly states”.

Thus, changes are made to the decree of the head of state of December 2022, which provided for the ban on the supply of Russian oil and oil products to customers under the conditions of the ceiling of prices. At the same time, the president reserved the right to make special decisions on the exclusion of a number of supplies from his action.

The ceiling of prices for Russian oil was introduced by the G7 countries, it has been operating since December 5 last year. The restriction is $ 60 per barrel.
