Putin asked not to attribute “this palace” to him

Russian President Vladimir Putin accepted an invitation to visit a new rehabilitation and leisure center based on an equestrian club in the Leningrad Region, urging only not to ascribe this “palace” to him.

As told by video link at the meeting of the head of state with the participants of the action “We are together” the representative of the equestrian club “Novopole” Anna Lappa, the impetus for the completion of the rehabilitation center on the territory of this club was given after last year’s presidential instruction, the construction of the facility is already close to completion, reports TASS.

Taking this opportunity, Lappé, behind whom the building under construction could be seen, invited Putin to the opening of this center, noting that it is located only 2 km from Strelna (where the St. Petersburg state residence – Konstantinovsky Palace is located).

“It looks like another palace,” Putin praised the building, promising to come. “But don’t rewrite it for me, okay?” the Russian president added ironically.
