Putin canceled annual large press conference

Russian President Vladimir Putin this year will not hold a traditional “big press conference”, said Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov.

The event, which has traditionally been held in December and which over the past two decades was canceled only once (in 2005), will not take place before the New Year, Peskov told reporters this year and Putin’s direct line. The “direct line” launched in 2001 was canceled only once in history – at the end of the first presidential term of Putin.
