According to the president, in the European part of the country, Russia is developing the international corridor “North – South”.

“He will connect the Russian ports in the Baltic, as well as the Murmansk transport hub with the ports on the coast of the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean – one of our most important supporting hubs in the Arctic, the capacity of which we will definitely increase,” he said.

The President noted that the delivery of goods from Murmansk to Mumbai will take about fifteen days and, compared with traditional routes, will decrease four times.

“At the same time we work with foreign partners on the formation of railway routes from Central Siberia south: towards China, Mongolia, ports of Indian and Pacific Oceans. Finally, another corridor from the Arctic to the South We plan in the Far East.
