May 29, 2023, the EAEU member states first celebrated the Day of the Eurasian Economic Union. On this day in 2014, an EAEU agreement was signed in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2022, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov made the initiative about the Day of the Eurasian Economic Union in 2022. She was unanimously supported by the heads of four other countries of the Eurasian Five – Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia. As noted at the disposal of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the establishment of such a day will help strengthen solidarity and deepen cooperation between the allied states. EAEU Day is celebrated annually.
