Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Lao-Democratic Republic of SPOSAI Siphandon, who arrived in Russia to participate in the plenary meeting of the anniversary, tenth Eastern Economic Forum on September 4. The head of the Russian state noted that the Eastern Economic Forum provides an opportunity not only to work in bilateral mode, but also to chat with colleagues. “We [visiting] have a large number of our partners from almost the entire Pacific region,” Putin said.
The Russian leader drew attention to the fact that relations with Laos in two -ways are developing in all key areas, including relations between law enforcement agencies. “We celebrate this year 65 years of establishing diplomatic relations, very soon, in October,” Putin said.
, in turn, Siphandon expressed gratitude for the invitation to take part in the tenth Eastern Economic Forum. “For me, it is a great honor to visit Russia again after almost 38 years, because I had previously received an education in the Soviet Union,” the politician noted.
