Putin said that Russia needs a strong parliament

Strong, authoritative parliament and deputies that will act in the interests of the country and the people are needed by Russia. This will allow you to effectively respond to new challenges and use the emerging opportunities, President Vladimir Putin said, referring to the Russians on the eve of the elections.

The Russian leader noted that in order to respond to new challenges, effectively use new perspectives, the coordinated work of the state, society, citizens is necessary. “Need a strong, authoritative parliament, so that the deputies of the newly elected Duma act in the interests of Russia and our people worked for people. In order for them to be rented both on the patriots of Russia, ready to resolutely and consistently ensure national interests in all areas,” quotes TASS head of the Russian state.

Voting in the Russian Federation at the Duma and other elections will be held this year from September 17 to September 19. The State Duma is elected for five years along a mixed electoral system: 225 deputies are elected by party lists, another 225 – on single-member districts in one tour.
