The war in Ukraine was started in 2014 by Kiev with the support of Western sponsors. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during the discussion at the plenary meeting of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
“The war in the southeast of Ukraine was launched by the Ukrainian regime with the support of their sponsors in the West in 2014. But no one is trying not to talk about this in the West. But I have to remind you: aviation, tanks, artillery were used in the northwest Against the Donbass. What is it, if not a war? This is a war. And it lasted almost 9 years, ”the president recalled.
According to him, Russia was forced to use its army in an attempt to stop the war that had begun in 2014 in 2014. “The war lasted almost nine years, and then our so -called partners, counter -partners, publicly abandoned the settlement of peaceful means. This forced us to use the armed forces in an attempt to stop this war,” the president said.
At the same time, the Russian leader called the denazification of Ukraine one of the key goals. “We have the full right to assume that the task we set by the denazification of Ukraine is one of the key,” he concluded.
Putin noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are now attacked in a number of plots, but they have no chance.
According to him, Ukraine is already using strategic reserves, but they have not achieved goals anywhere. “Somewhere Ukrainian divisions manage to reach the first line, somewhere fails. The question is not this. The question is that they use the so-called strategic reserves,” he said.
At the same time, Putin noted large losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces both in technology and in personnel. “Indeed, their losses are very large, more than 1 to 10 compared to the Russian army. This is a fact,” he said.
According to the president, Kyiv will soon stop using its own technique – “You can’t get so long.” At the same time, Russia increased the production of military products 2.7 times over the year, Putin emphasized.
At the same time, the Russian leader believes that Poland “sleeps and sees” to return Western Ukraine. “Poles – they have their own goals, they sleep and see to return Western Ukraine and, apparently, they go to this gradually,” the head of state said.
Speaking of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, Putin said that his Jewish friends call the head of the Ukrainian state “shame of the Jewish people.”
