American intelligence services in advance provided Washington with information about the plans of the Russian side regarding the conduct of the so -called special military operation in Ukraine. This statement was made by US President Joe Biden while visiting the headquarters of the Central Intelligence Directorate in Langley (Virginia).
“Thanks to the incredible work of our professionals in the intelligence sector, we were able to warn the world that Vladimir Putin is planning in Ukraine,” says the American leader, whose words quoted TASS.
According to his version, American intelligence services did not “reveal their sources and methods of work. “This played a crucial role in the rally of our partners and allies around the world and … preserving their unity,” the American president said.
Biden called the CIA “the best intelligence service around the world.”
According to the head of the United States, the Russian side counted on the possibility of splitting NATO and breaking its determination, but the allies managed to prevent this, Biden said.
