Quad leaders will meet in Hiroshima

Leaders of the member countries of the four-sided dialogue on security (Quad, unites Australia, India, USA and Japan) will hold a meeting in Japanese Hiroshima.

The meeting of the leaders of the QUAD group was supposed to take place in the Australian Sydney, but was canceled due to US President Joe Bayden to participate in it.

According to the new program, the quad leaders will gather in Hiroshima, where the Summit of the leaders of the “Big Seven” (G-7).

US President Joe Biden, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kisida, Australia Prime Minister Australi Albanze and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi will take part in the discussions.

During the meeting, leaders plan to discuss new obligations “against unilateral attempts to change the status quo in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond”.

Last week, the American leader said that he could not attend a previously planned meeting in Sydney due to negotiations on the “Limit of the State debt” in Washington.

Quad was launched as a dialog forum in 2007 between the USA, Australia, India and Japan. In 2017, it was transformed into a “four -sided alliance”.
