Germany refuses to supply its tanks to Ukraine because of the fears of the “appearance” of combat vehicles in Russia, writes Spiegel magazine with reference to sources in the German government.
According to sources, Berlin believes that Ukraine can use German equipment in Russia, which will become a reminder of the Great Patriotic War. “This will mean that German tanks will be again in Russia,” the article says.
Spiegel interlocutors specified that the German government cannot trust Kyiv in this matter.
