International Bank of Azerbaijan continues to implement a number of projects for the development of an innovative ecosystem in our country. Together with the Innovative Center of ABV, the Bank organizes the 2nd Regional Hakaton. Acceptance of applications for participation has already been launched. The event will be held on July 2-4.
The event is organized together with the innovative center of ABV. The Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan made a strategic partner of Hakaton.
The first event took place at the beginning of last year. The main directions of the 2nd Regional Hakaton are digital banking, the development of non-cash payment infrastructure, satisfaction and customer loyalty.
In connection with the coronavirus pandemic, the event will be held online. Take part in the 2nd Regional Hakaton can all interested in innovative financial solutions: programmers, data analytics, designers, communications specialists, entrepreneurs, managers.
Participants will work in teams formed by the organizers. Teams will be offered a few topics requiring a creative approach to solve existing problems. However, participants can manifest the initiative and submit their ideas to the jury, given the main directions.
Dozens of professional mentors from around the world will work with teams. Mentors and organizers providing methodological support to regional hakaton – professionals with international experience of building startups.
On the development of its projects, participants will be allocated 48 hours. The best projects will be appreciated and awarded. The owner of the first place will receive a prize in the amount of 3,000 manat, which took second place – 2,000 manat, which ranked third – 1,000 manat. Strategic partner – Ministry of Transport, Communication and High Technologies will also give prizes to specially selected projects. The Bank will support those participants who can adequately demonstrate their ideas. Innovative Center of ABV, together with the International Bank of Azerbaijan, will provide all the conditions for incubation of selected projects.
In accordance with the principle of objectivity, employees of the International Bank of Azerbaijan and its subsidiaries Azericard, AVV-Moscow and ABB Invest are not involved in the regional hakaton.
