The relations of Turkey and Libya entered a new stage in cooperation in the field of economics, energy and communications. The head of the department arrived in Turkey to participate in the International Summit on Strategic Communications (Stratcom Summit’23). The event was organized by the Office for the Relations of the Presidential Administration in Istanbul.
“It is well known that the long -standing relations between Turkey and Libya are strategic in nature. Turkey and the government of the national unity of Libya are aimed at their further development and strengthening,” he said.
He noted that soon an important economic summit will take place in Tripoli, in which Turkey will take part.
According to him, Ankara and Tripoli successfully collaborate both in the field of communications and the fight against disinformation. He expressed confidence that this interaction would benefit both countries.
The State Resident emphasized that Türkiye is a key country in the region.
Al-Lafi added that Libya is interested in borrowing the experience of Turkey to strengthen its state institutions.
He also praised the role of the Turkish media in countering misinformation. In particular, the minister touched the activities of the Anadola agency in this direction against the background of events in the gas sector.
