Renault conceived to sell AvtoVAZ – in May the company is going to transfer most of foreign managers from Togliatti to Moscow. Sources of “Gazeta.ru” call the possible new owner the state corporation “Rostec” or the structure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
One of the concern managers said that some foreigners have already left Tolyatti, while the rest are going to leave the city a few weeks later, they will not return back. In the quarter report on Friday, the financial director of the Group Renault concern Thierry Pieton noted that the French side was able to “achieve progress” in the negotiation process with the Russian authorities regarding the future “AvtoVAZ”.
March 23, Renault announced the termination of activities in Russia, and then reported a possible exit from a share in AvtoVAZ. The reason was difficulties with the supply of components against the background of military operations of Russia in Ukraine.
