Azerbaijan at the Euro represents triple jumper Alexis Copello. In qualifying, he showed a result of 16.84 in the first attempt and secured himself an exit to the final.
The naturalized Cuban showed the third result in qualifying, losing only to the Portuguese Pedro Pablo Pichardo and the German Max Hes. The final will take place on March 7.
Note that the 2019 European champion in triple jump Nazim Babaev does not participate in competitions due to injury.
