Azerbaijan group team coach in rhythmic gymnastics Siyan Vasileva won the elections to the Commission of Athletes of the International Gymnastics Federation (Fig), the correspondent of HAQQIN.AZ from Japan.
in the elections in which the gymnasts who came to the World Championships in the Japanese Kitakusu, a representative of Azerbaijan in the 1st round ahead of Jessica Mayer (Brazil), Salome Pazhaua (Georgia) and Valery Yuzvyk (Ukraine), and in 2nd – Nicole Ruprecht (Austria) and Nevian Vladinov (Bulgaria). Syyan in the 2nd round scored 22 votes, while rivals only 12 and 8 votes, respectively.
Note that in the FIG Commission, only one place was assigned to representatives of rhythmic gymnastics, and it was taken by the former gymnast of the Azerbaijani national team. This Commission will protect the interests of athletes.
