Representative of European Union will head to Iran to discuss a nuclear transaction

The Political Director of the EU Foreign Policy, Deputy Secretary-General Enrique Mora will visit Tehran to discuss the joint comprehensive action plan (UNDPD) on the Iranian nuclear program. He reported this on Friday on his page on Twitter.

“I am going to Iran tomorrow to meet with [Head of the Iranian delegation in negotiations on the nuclear transaction] Ali Baghery Kani. We work on filling the last gaps of Viennese negotiations on CFD. We must complete these negotiations. Much is put on the map,” wrote Mora .

A joint comprehensive action plan was signed with Iran in 2015, in order to overcome the crisis around its nuclear program with a five plus one permanent group. Former US President Donald Trump adopted a decision on the exit from this agreement in 2018. The current head of the American administration Joe Bayden has repeatedly signaled about the willingness to return the United States to a nuclear deal with Tehran. Russia, the United Kingdom, Germany, China, USA and France lead with Iran in Vienna negotiations on the restoration of UNDPD in its original form from April last year.
