In Istanbul, the 16th international exhibition of defense industry IDEF-2023 continues its work.
IDEF is part of the four world’s largest exhibitions of defense industry in terms of the number of participating companies. In addition, IDEF stands out as the world’s largest site for negotiations between defense enterprises.
High -ranking officials and representatives of defense companies from around the world, who arrived at the exhibition, expressed satisfaction with a high level of organization of the event.
In particular, this year, the exhibition presents about 1000 local and foreign companies in the field of defense, safety, marine, aviation and space industries.
In an interview with Anadol, the representative of the Indonesian company PT. Langit Biru Parasut Aprinovita Nurfidaus noted that thanks to the exhibition she got acquainted with the new products of Turkish production.
Nurfidau also noted that she had the opportunity to negotiate with representatives of other foreign companies. This is a good opportunity to establish joint cooperation and start new projects, she said.
According to her, Turkey and Indonesia have great potential for the further development of cooperation in the defense industry.
Deputy Secretary General of the company Yahsat from the UAE, operating in the field of satellite technology, Hamad al-Tair noted that IDEF is one of the 4 largest defense exhibitions in the world.
“We attach great importance to participation in the IDEF exhibition. On this site we get the opportunity to present our new generation satellites,” he said.
The head of the Chinese company Oxman Sourcing Candis Chen said that IDEF defense exhibition is a good opportunity for companies aimed at increasing export of its products.
“We got the opportunity to present its products to a wide audience. Turkey occupies an important place in the world defense industry. Companies from around the world take part in the exhibition,” he said.
The founder of Armor China Jack Yu also noted that the exhibition has presented new export opportunities for the company.
“A large number of guests visited our stand and got acquainted with products. Many are ready to conclude cooperation agreements. After we return to China, we will continue contacts with these companies,” he said.
The IDEF-2023 exhibition, which is one of the world’s largest sites to demonstrate the new products of the military-industrial complex, takes place in Istanbul from July 25 to 28 at the Tüyap exhibition center in Istanbul.
The exhibition was organized for the 16th time of the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey under the patronage of the presidential administration.
